Inter market, Atalanta sets the record straight on target Marco Palestra

Inter soccer market: Marco Palestra is very much liked by the Beneamata, but Atalanta once again will not discount. This is once again confirmed by Luca Percassi, who after raising the barricades last summer over Ademola Lookman promises to do the same in the winter for the defensive flanker who exploded at Cagliari but is still owned by the Bergamaschi. The Nerazzurri management in Milan has identified him as the right man to reinforce the team at Cristian Chivu&#8217s disposal, but the chances of the mission being accomplished as early as January seem anything but high.

On the subject was clear Percassi, who just on the sidelines of the challenge between the two Nerazzurri spoke to ‘DAZN’ about the possibility that as early as January Palestra could move from Atalanta to Inter via Cagliari. “It is not an issue on the agenda’Dea–s CEO said. We have seen the boy grow with us, for his performance and his age it is normal that he is appetite. If something concrete presented itself, we would consider it. At the moment, however, there&#8217s nothing. However, we are so pleased that he is performing well, because it confirms the good work of our youth sector”.

Marco Palestra, a defender class of 2005 owned by Atalanta, is playing this year on loan at Cagliari. The young full-back is showing off his skills with the islanders’ jersey thanks to top-notch performances, and Rossoblù sporting director Guido Angelozzi has anointed him “Europe&#8217s best side at the moment”. At least 30 million euros will be needed to sign the young full-back, and the Orobica club is not willing to sell him in January: it will wait until the summer when the player&#8217s valuation could be even higher. Even at that point, however, it is far from a given that the Under-21 player will easily leave Bergamo.

But Palestra is not the’only Atalanta player to be in Inter&#8217s sights: in fact, the Meneghina management has also set its sights on Ederson, who is wavering regarding his contract renewal currently expiring in 2027. If he does not sign by this summer, the Percassi family will put him on the market to avoid the risk of losing him for free in 2027.

Making room for him in Cristian Chivu’s midfield could be Davide Frattesi, who is unhappy with the scant minutes he is receiving. The former Sassuolo player is determined to make a change of scenery in order to consecrate himself definitively and has several admirers in Italy and beyond: Roma and Juventus would be happy to sign him, and there are also English sirens.
