Inter victorious in Bergamo after a complicated match against Atalanta and characterized by nullified goals for both Nerazzurri, but in the end the decider of the challenge at the New Balance Arena was Lautaro Martinez who signed the 1-0 that projected the guests once again at the top of the Serie A standings.

The first half was a domination of Inter, with Atalanta suffering but managing to keep their goal inviolate. On Akanji saves Kolasinac, then Carnesecchi lowers the portcullis and says no to Luis Henrique, Thuram, Calhanoglu and Lautaro Martinez. At 35′ Thuram himself would unlock the result, but the Var does not validate for Lautaro’s offside. Orobici that only in the final half raised their heads with Scamacca, who, however, did not find the ball.

More excitement again in the second half, with a more proactive Atalanta: Bisseck closes in on Ederson, then De Ketelaere scores but he too is offside. At halftime the two goalkeepers excelled, Sommer on Zalewski and Carnesecchi on Luis Henrique. Scamacca also had a goal cancelled out for an irregular position, then at 65′ Lautaro Martinez took advantage of a topical Djimsiti and the assist of newly sub Pio Esposito to score the game-winning goal that gives Inter the three points.

In the final minutes of the game, the same Esposito could double, but the biggest chance happened on Samardzic&#8217s left hander who incredibly missed the goal. Inter climbs to 36 points and moves to the top of Serie A, +1 from AC Milan and +2 from Napoli. Atalanta still stands at 22, with Europe remaining 5 lengths away.
