Between Juventus’ market priorities there&#8217s definitely a new midfielder with excellent insertion time, a profile that is currently missing in the Bianconeri squad and that Luciano Spalletti has asked his management several times. The Certaldo coach’s main target is Davide Frattesi: together they did very well in the national team and there is great mutual esteem but Inter are not absolutely convinced that they want to give up the star player to a direct rival and would prefer to find an arrangement abroad for the former Sassuolo player.

Juventus, which has already sounded the ground for Frattesi in recent weeks, will make another attempt but a plan B is already ready: Quinten Timber of Feyenoord. The class of 2001 footballer is expiring his contract with the Dutch club and has so far refused any renewal proposal: he wants a change of scenery and has already confided it to his entourage. Timber is a player with a similar profile to Davide Frattesi: both are very good in insertions and have great athletic skills, which is why shortly the Juventus management could start an exploratory contact with the Dutchman&#8217s agents.

Clearly, Juventus is not the’only club interested in Quinten Timber: the opportunity to sign a player with his qualities for free does not happen every day, and the long line of suitors proves it. In addition to the Bianconeri, Borussia Dortmund, Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen, Brentoford and Fenerbahce are also on the midfielder’s trail. The Old Lady will have to speed up the pace to avoid having to fight with the competition to get Quinten Timber: as soon as Marco Ottolini is made official, work will begin on the issue.

To make room for Quinten Timber, Juventus will work to find a new home for Manuel Locatelli: the midfielder does not fit into Luciano Spalletti’s plans and there seems to be little chemistry between the two. It all stemmed from his time with the national team, when the former ct l’d excluded him from call-ups.

Locatelli had not taken it well, and in Turin things did not improve. Testifying to the relationship between the Certaldo coach and the’former AC Milan player is the incident that occurred during Pisa-Juventus: Locatelli was substituted and asked for an explanation from Spalletti, who did not hesitate to call him back: “Go, go to the bench!”.
