Europa League 2025-2026: Bologna-Celtic, the likely lineups

In Thursday evening’s packed schedule (here, continuously updated, the probable lineups of numerous matches to be played throughout Europe on the day), there is also room for the Europa League challenge between Bologna and Celtic.
Vincenzo Italiano’s team is doing great in the European competition: after the defeat in the opener against Aston Villa, three wins (against Celta Vigo, Salzburg and FCSB) and two draws (against Brann and Freiburg) have come. Skorupski, in front of him the Heggem-Casale pair in the center, Zortea and Miranda manning the side lanes.
Moro and Ferguson will act in front of the defense, Rowe, Odgaard and Dominguez in the three-quarter to supply Dallinga’s only point. Heavily absent for the Gialloblù: Castro has the’flu and has not been summoned, Italiano hopes to have him back Sunday for the league match against Genoa.
Martin O’Neill’s Celtic, which is trying to maintain its place in the play-off zone, is expected to show up with a 4-3-3. Up front will be Hyun-Jun, Maeda and Tounekti, in the middle of the field space for Engels, McGregor and Nygren. Tierney and Araujo full-backs with Trusty and Scales in the center of defense protecting Schmeichel.
