Massimiliano Allegri, indirect response to Antonio Conte ignites debate

The words of Antonio Conte in the post-match of Napoli-Fiorentina still make a lot of noise, a real frontal attack on those who draw up the calendars of the various tournaments also in the light of the numerous injuries that have affected the members of the Azzurri squad, the last of whom, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, will be forced to a long stop. Not everyone, however, is on the same wavelength as the Salento coach: Massimiliano Allegri, in the press conference presenting Milan’s away match in Bologna, in fact ignited the debate by providing another kind of interpretation.

“Every year I hear the same controversies about the calendar – explained the Milan coach -: we play too much, too little, too early or too late. When I was at Juventus, we won five Scudettos, four Italian Cups and reached two Champions League finals: we were always ahead of everyone, yet the number of games was the same as everyone else.
