Jean-Philippe Mateta’s transfer from Crystal Palace to AC Milan can now be said to be skipped. According to reports from Sky Sport, in fact, the French striker did not pass the medical examinations and, therefore, will not arrive in Milan as it seemed until a few hours ago. Mateta therefore remains in England, waiting to see whether another club will try to negotiate in extremis with the London club or whether Mateta will continue his adventure in the Premier League at the club with which he won the FA Cup last year.

This is not the first time this season that the transfer of a striker to AC Milan has been skipped at the last minute after medical examinations.

It had in fact happened in the summer with Victor Boniface, who after his experience at Bayer Leverkusen was ready to wear the Rossoneri jersey, before the tests he underwent showed physical problems such as to cancel the agreement between the two clubs. As with Boniface, by the way, the condition of his knees is unconvincing for Mateta, according to sources close to the club.
