Mathilde Gremaud beats Eileen Gu and wins the'gold

The SlopeStyle final at the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics again crowned Switzerland’s Mathilde Gremaud as the Olympic champion: the Swiss freestyle skier scored 86″96, which allowed her to beat China’s Ailing Gu (86.58) again, just as she did in Beijing 2022.
Canada climbs the podium with Megan Oldham, third with a best score of 76.46 while Britain’s Kirsty Muir (76.05) remains outside the medal zone.
Among the Azzurre, tenth place for Maria Gasslitter, at the first Olympic final of her career: the 19-year-old Italian from Castelrotto was able to come up with two interesting runs, with 50.33 in the opening round followed by 52.45 in the second rotation, the fourth partial score of the round.
An’important experience for the South Tyrolean, who during the season also achieved for the first time in her career access to the decisive act in the World Cup.
