Initially, the problem did not seem serious, but as the hours passed, Bolton experienced more and more pain, and the Australian delegation officials decided to take the champion to the hospital for extensive tests. The CT scan revealed that Bolton had fractured his neck in two places: “In every season there are injuries – said Alisa Camplin-Warner, Australia&#8217s head of mission for Milan Cortina 2026 -. Unfortunately, we have had some in quick succession but the’important thing is that none of them are extremely serious”.

Clearly for Cam Bolton, who was in search of his first medal at the Olympics, the experience in Milan Cortina is already over: the 1990-year-old will have to observe a long period of rest and, when he receives the’ok from the doctors, he will be able to return to Australia.
