Blue luge again on Olympic podium! Mixed relay team wins bronze

Italy adds another valuable medal to its Olympic haul at Milan Cortina 2026: the mixed luge relay team in fact won bronze on the “Eugenio Monti” track in Cortina d’Ampezzo, thanks to the efforts of Verena Hofer, Dominik Fischnaller, Emanuel Rieder, Simon Kainzwaldner, Andrea Voetter and Marion Oberhofer. The Azzurri finished with a time of 3:42.521, climbing on the third step of the podium and signing yet another prestigious result for a discipline that is seeing the Azzurri athletes living an extraordinary moment.

The race saw Germany dominate with a record time of 3:41.672, while Austria took silver in 3:42.’214, after leading for a long time before the Germans’ final assault.

Italy, on the strength of the two golds won in the doubles (men and women) and Fischnaller’s bronze in the men’s singles, confirmed its solidity in the team format as well, keeping its concentration high and defending a well-deserved podium with determination.
