On Wednesday in Turin, on the occasion of the Final Eight of the Italian Cup organized by Lega Basket Serie A, the Giba Oscars will be presented to the best players of Men’s Series A1 and A2 in 2025: Michele Ruzzier and Mirza Alibegovic.

The Giba Oscars are the Players Association’s historic recognition of athletes who have distinguished themselves on and off the court and serve as role models for younger players.
In this edition, the Series A Oscar was named after the late Marco Bonamico, who passed away in August 2025.

Marco Bonamico, a timeless champion, served as President of the Players’ Association from 1996 to 2000, and Giba, thanks in part to the initiative of Maurizio Ragazzi, decided to name the 2025 Oscar after him.
