Marcell Jacobs has a clear goal
Coming from victory at the Rieti Absolute
Olympic 100-meter dash and 4×100 relay champion Marcell Jacobs is ready for another leg to the World Championships in July in Eugene. After victory at the Rieti Absolute in Rieti there will now be a run in the Stockholm meet.
At the eve press conference Jacobs clarified his real goal: “Now it’s okay, I was feeling a bit stressed before returning to the track,” so the Italian athlete, “but I’m back and I can focus on the Worlds, my big goal. That’s why I hope to reach top form in two weeks.”
“The injury came at an important moment of the season and ruined my plans,” added Jacobs himself, “but now it is crucial for me to compete as much as possible to regain certain automatisms.
