Jannik Sinner has his own theory about Wimbledon’s grass.
The words of Jannik Sinner
Jannik Sinner, beating John Isner 6-4 7-6 6-3 without conceding any break balls, earned his way into the Wimbledon round of 16.
An accomplishment already achieved in the other slam tournaments but one that on English grass is even more newsworthy, since it is not his favorite surface.
“I tried to prepare the match in a better way,” the South Tyrolean admitted. “At the beginning I was thinking about winning only one match, I am happy to have reached the round of 16, it means a lot. I hope Isner is okay, it seemed to me that in the middle of the third set he was not okay.”
“How did I get better on grass? Maybe the atmosphere in London. I will practice on Saturday, it will be important. I’m more comfortable now on this surface,” Sinner concluded.
