Pesaro welcomes Mazzola

Carpegna Prosciutto Basket Pesaro has announced that it has reached a two-year agreement with Valerio Mazzola.

A big forward born on March 7, 1988 in Ferrara, Mazzola grew up in the youth of Basket Club Ferrara with which he played five seasons between Serie A and Legadue from 2006 to 2011. At the end of March 2011 he signed a four-year deal with Sutor Montegranaro where he remained until 2014.

The next two years see him involved with Virtus Bologna, again in the top league. In 2016/2017 he defends the colors of Auxilium Torino with which in the following season he celebrates winning the Italian Cup and is also involved in the Eurocup.

In 2018/2019 he lands in Venice: with Reyer he becomes Italian champion, disputes the Champions League and in 2019/2020 wins the National Cup. Also this season he takes the court in the second continental competition. He stays with the Venetian lineup for two more years. For his new experience with the Pesaro jersey, he chose the number 22.

The first words of the former Reyer Venezia as a player of the Marche team: “I am ready for this new chapter of my career! I liked the project, I am excited to get involved. There are great prerequisites for a great season! New goals, new stimuli but my attitude does not change! I thank everyone for this opportunity.”
