Carlos Sainz hits first pole. Leclerc third behind Verstappen
First pole for Carlos Sainz
Spectacular qualifying in the rain at Silverstone.
Carlos Sainz surprised everyone by going for the first career pole position.
The Spaniard took the first position on the grid at the last attempt in qualifying for the British GP with a time of 1′ 40″ 983. Behind him chase world leader Max Verstappen and the other Ferrarista Charles Leclerc, with times of 1′ 41″ 055 and 1′ 41″ 298, respectively. The other Red Bull driven by Sergio Perez will start fourth.
