Grace’s big hit
Branden Grace’s big shot in Portland: by winning the second leg of the Arab Superleague, the South African put $4 million in his pocket, virtually a third of what he had earned in his entire career on the PGA Tour.
The 34-year-old Pretoria native, thanks to a final round closed in 65 (-7) on a total of 203 (69 69 65, -13) strokes, overcame competition from Mexico’s Carlos Ortiz, who finished second with 205 (-11) ahead of Americans Patrick Reed and Dustin Johnson, who finished third with 207 (-9).
