Max Verstappen spoke to British broadcaster Channel 4 about the relationship between him and Charles Leclerc. “I think there is more respect between but and him than what we saw in 2021, not so much at the level of drivers, but at the level of respect between the two teams, in this case Ferrari and Red Bull. Charles and I have known each other since we were children, we laugh when we think about all the incidents we’ve had in the past, and I think this helps us to have a more peaceful and respectful atmosphere. I hope it can go on like this.”

Clear reference to what happened last season with Lewis Hamilton: “I always had and still have a lot of respect for him and we always got along well, and even today, as drivers, you know that you get together every Sunday trying everything to win and that what can happen is forgotten very quickly and you simply move on. The many races help in that sense to move on after any episodes.”
