Franco Morbidelli, backstory on Valentino Rossi
The Italo-Brazilian centaur in the midst of a crisis: “I talked to Valentino, he gives me strength.”
Franco Morbidelli is clinging to Valentino Rossi. In an interview with Speedweek, the Italobrazilian centaur spoke about the crisis that has been gripping him for months: “As an old Brazilian I know how to deal with difficult situations, I know how to be positive when there is a headwind. I know very well that it is a difficult situation. I have to work to find a way out.”
Morbidelli often talks with former teammate Valentino Rossi, who knows the Yamaha world well: “We talked about it, he always gives me strength.” Imitating Quartararo or studying the Frenchman’s telemetry data is complicated: “It’s hard to do what he does. He can keep the speed in the corners and brakes very late, he maximizes every corner, he gets all the potential.”
