Wimbledon, Novak Djokovic joins Nick Kyrgios in final
Final number 32 in a Slam for the Serb
Only one men’s singles semifinal was played in Friday’s second week of Wimbledon after Rafael Nadal’s forfeit. Up against Nick Kyrgios, who went straight into the final, will be number one on the scoreboard Novak Djokovic.
Indeed, the Serbian tennis player beat Cameron Norrie in four sets after two hours and 34 minutes of play. 6-2 for Djokovic in the first set, then the Briton evened the score with 6-3 in the second. Then the Serb closed 6-2 in the third and 6-4 in the fourth taking the match.
For Djokovic it will be the eighth career final at Wimbledon, where he will try to win the Championships for the seventh time. With this success he gave himself final number 32 in a Slam, pulling away from Roger Federer at 31. Then Nadal at 30.
