Too much France for Italy, Azzurre knockout
France-Italy 5-1
Nothing to do for Italy in the women’s European soccer debut.
At the New York Stadium in Rotherham, England, the Azzurre were defeated 5-1 on the first day of Group D by highly favored France.
The transalpine women closed the match already in the first half, immediately unlocking the result between 9′ and 12′ with Geyoro and Katoto and flying away with Cascarino (39′) and again Geyoro (40′ and 45′).
Useless for our national team was the flagship goal scored by Piemonte in the 77′.
On Thursday they will already be back on the field to seek redemption against Iceland.
