Diene will go on to complete Sassari’s quintet

Dinamo Lab has announced the signing for next season of Senegalese center Saliou Diene, class of 1991, 3.0 points, in the last championship protagonist of the promotion to Serie A with Varese.

After the arrivals of Berdun and Esteche, the quintet is thus completed in view of the upcoming Serie A tournament, where Bisin’s team will be very competitive.

Diene has been a professional since 2007, grew up in his homeland playing for teams in the capital Dakar before coming to Europe. He was in Cantù from 2013 to 2015 in Serie B “turning” into a center after starting as a very physical playmaker. He also played in the Swiss top series in Ticino, while he made his debut in A with Varese, with whom he also played in Euroleague 3, finishing in 5th place. He then moved on to Padova before returning to Lombardy with his former team to drag it to promotion to A.
