Dorothea Wierer reveals her secret
Dorothea Wierer: “The group gives me the strength to keep going.”
Cross-country skier Dorothea Wierer in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport explained what drives her not to quit and keep going in a sport of hard work like hers: “I am very satisfied with what I have done in my career, I miss the Olympic gold, but that is gone now. At the end of the day it’s not the winning or not winning, it’s the putting myself out there, I think I can still do something, otherwise I would have quit. I focus on training, when it’s race time I hope to push the right amount and win again.”
A key factor to continue is the blue team: “I like the group, the team: without them I wouldn’t be able to train. I have fun with them and it’s good to struggle together.”
