However, Fernando Alonso has no plans to hang up his helmet anytime soon: “The times say I don’t take a seat away from young people.”

Fernando Alonso in an interview with NOS revealed his intention to stay in F1 for two more years. “My future will be decided in the summer, I’m looking for a two-year,” the Alpine driver said. “I am not among the drivers who take a seat away from young people. F1 is a sport where there is only one thing that matters, and it is not the ID card but the stopwatch, I am still fast.”

However, the Asturian driver is clear about what he will do after racing: “I have a karting school and I already have a driver in F2 like Clement Novalak with MP Motorsport, and my goal is to place more talent in F3 and F4 in the coming seasons. I want to give back what motorsport has given me, my whole life revolves around motorsport which is the only thing I am good at. In other areas I would not be able to establish myself.”
