Tour de France, Primoz Roglic quits the company
His Tour ends here
Primoz Roglic has said enough. The Slovenian Jumbo-Visma rider has indeed announced his retirement from the Tour de France 2022. He will thus not start today’s stage 15.
Still too much pain in his back after the crash on the cobblestones in the fifth stage. “To recover from my injuries, I will not start today,” Roglic said on the Jumbo-Visma website. “I am proud of my contribution and I hope that the team will be able to realize our yellow-green ambitions. Thank you all for your great support.”
Roglic will try to regain his best condition ahead of the Vuelta a España, won by the Slovenian in the past three years, scheduled for Aug. 19 to Sept. 11. Jumbo-Visma will try to win the Tour with current yellow jersey Jonas Vingegaard.
