Markel Brown in Varese

Varese announced that it has reached an agreement with Markel Brown, who will wear the Openjobmetis jersey next year.

An American player born in ’92, Brown is an explosive, complete and versatile athlete who boasts more than a hundred games in the NBA (Brooklyn Nets and Houston Rockets) and a fair amount of European experience (he has played in the Euroleague, EuroCup and FIBA Europe Cup). Last year he was in Antwerp, a team with which he averaged 13.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3 assists per game.

Michael Arcieri, general manager Pallacanestro Varese, is enthusiastic: “The buildup of our roster today takes another important and exciting step forward. Markel is an incredibly experienced player having played in the NBA, G-League and Europe. He is a truly special player capable of impacting games in so many ways thanks to a significant athleticism that is perfectly combined with a refined offensive repertoire and innate defensive versatility. His charisma and selflessness will greatly influence his teammates and the culture of Varese Basketball. We are excited about his arrival and welcome him and his entire family most warmly.”
