Gianluca Caprari is a new player at Monza.

The striker was taken from Hellas Verona on a temporary basis until June 30, 2023, with an obligation to buy him back when certain conditions are met.

Born in Rome on July 30, 1993, he grew up in Roma’s youth sector, with which he made his professional debut at the age of 17 in the Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk on March 8, 2011. Two months later he also made his Serie A debut against AC Milan. With the Giallorossi he collected 7 appearances and won the 2011 Primavera championship, before being transferred on loan to Pescara in January 2012.

In Abruzzo he immediately achieved promotion to Serie A with Zeman’s team, with which he also played the following season, before being bought back entirely by Roma in June 2013. His adventure in the Giallorossi ended in January 2014, when he returned to Pescara, where he stayed for another three and a half seasons, hitting another promotion to Serie A as a star player in 2016, with 13 goals scored. Inter bought him in July 2016, but left him on loan at Pescara for another season.

In summer 2017 he landed outright at Sampdoria where he confirmed all his talent, collecting 82 appearances and 17 goals. After loans to Parma and Benevento, he moved to Hellas Verona where he played in the 2021-22 season. With 12 goals and 7 assists in 35 Serie A appearances, he is among the protagonists of the ninth place achieved by the Gialloblù and earns a call-up to the national team, with which he debuts in the Nations League match against Germany on June 14.

A second forward, outside forward or fantasist, he boasts a total of 212 appearances with 44 goals in Serie A.
