Skriniar case, Marotta plays the enigmatic.
The Meneghino executive did not mince words about the Slovak’s permanence.
These are difficult days for the Nerazzurri fans. In fact, it is not a mystery that – with rare exceptions – almost the entire Inter fan base has been burned by the double hoax represented first by Paulo Dybala’s move to Roma, then by the happy assault brought by Juve for Gleison Bremer, who was made official as a Bianconeri player on Wednesday.
The terror of having to say goodbye to Milan Skriniar – on whom PSG has been insisting for some time – agitates the sleeps of the Beneamata fans. Who a few hours ago tried in vain to get official assurances from Beppe Marotta himself on the untouchability of the Slovak defender. The executive could not satisfy them, maintaining the line that has always been officially stated: in the face of a fair offer, the player can leave. This thought was basically confirmed upon leaving the League Assembly held on Thursday morning: to the questions of the reporters present about Skriniar, Marotta answered with a laconic “Already spoken,” thus not helping to unravel the skein. Likewise, the executive, when asked about Nikola Milenkovic – another Nerazzurri target – responded by saying, “We will talk about it,” perhaps hinting at a possible upcoming assault on the Serbian defender.
The first few days of Serie A will see the incoming and outgoing soccer market still in the spotlight although the matches have already begun: in fact, as many as four rounds will be played in August, as the calendar has been largely conditioned by the World Cup that will be staged in Qatar. And which, as we all know, will unfortunately not see the Italian national team at the start, having failed to qualify for the review for the second time in a row.
