Lewis Hamilton ended the second free practice session with the fifth fastest time of 1:33.517 with a gap of almost a second.
“The W13 is not brilliant on this track and we don’t know why,” he explained to Sky Sports UK, “but, as always, we are confident we can improve ahead of tomorrow. We are usually able to make a step forward, so tomorrow we will have to be good at not doing anything wrong. Where are we not doing well? I would say in every corner.” .
“We are way behind where we thought we were, there is a lot of work to be done. These cars in terms of grip struggle a lot, and I understand what the drivers who close the lineup feel. It’s not easy to drive like this,” concluded the seven-time world champion.
