Juventus, Leonardo Bonucci attacks Matthijs De Ligt: “We need respect.”
Gone is De Ligt, in comes Bremer
Juventus’ defense has just undergone some major changes. Gone are both Giorgio Chiellini and Matthijs De Ligt, and now new captain Leonardo Bonucci will be joined on the field by Gleison Bremer.
But Bonucci did not take kindly to certain phrases from De Ligt, who has moved on to Bayern Munich: “Some of his statements hinted that he did not want to stay at Juventus,” he said in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport. “However, I think that at the base of everything there needs to be respect, the group he was with for three years served him to grow and the club has invested in him.
“I wish him the best, however, certain phrases said in the national team were not very nice. We talked about it after the vacations and he understood,” Bonucci pointed out. “Bayern is a great club, but it is not said that in a top team you are destined to win.
