Como overwhelms Spezia and flies to second place. Victories also for Cittadella, Bari and Sudtirol

Saturday’s Series B results of the 20th day

The Saturday of the 20th day of Serie B ended with as many as five wins and only one draw: Como and Cittadella overwhelmed Spezia and Palermo respectively and put pressure on the leading Parma. Home victories also for Bari and Sudtirol against Ternana and Feralpisalò while important success in the playoffs for Brescia on the field of Modena. In conclusion, the challenge between Pisa and Reggiana ends in parity.

At “Sinigaglia”, Como overwhelms Spezia with two goals per time: At 27’ Da Cunha opens the scoring and ten minutes later comes Cutrone’s double. In the second half Gabrielloni found the third goal at 59’ and four minutes later came the poker sealed by Da Cunha. At the “Tombolato” to open the dances for Cittadella è Pandolfi at 26’. In the second half, the match for Palermo went uphill, as Stulacuteé Stulac was sent off for double admonition at the 50’. On the strength of numerical superiority, the Granata managed to close out the match at 80’ thanks to Vita.

At the “San Nicola”, Bari managed to put the game downhill thanks to a one-two in the last minutes of the first half. At 41’ Ricci opened the scoring for the Gallettos, while two minutes later Nasti sealed the double. At’83’ came the third goal for the red-and-whites with Dorval. At 85' Ternana found the flagship goal with Diakite.

At the “Braglia”, Brescia found the lead on 5’ thanks to Zaro’s own goal, which deflected a Bisoli cross into his own goal. On 30’ the lioness found the double with Galazzi. At 52’ Modena shortened the distance with Luca Tremolada, who converted the penalty kick awarded by the VAR for a hand foul by Bjarnason.

At the “Druso” the match was settled by a valuable technical gesture by Casiraghi, who at 76’ beat Pizzignacco with a lob. At the’Arena Garibaldi, however, Reggiana opened the match at 9’ with Melegoni. Seven minutes later, Pisa found the equalizer with Valoti on a penalty kick. At 34’, then,it is the guests who get back in front with Antiste. At 82’, finally, came Bonfanti’s goal that closed the game at 2-2.

In the standings, Como moves to second place alone with 38 points, while Cittadella follows in third with 36. Brescia rises to eighth place with 28 points, while Bari moves to 26 at -2 from the playoff zone. Ninth, 11th, 12th and 13th places respectively for Modena (28), Reggiana (24), Sudtirol (23) and Pisa (23). Remaining in penultimate and last place, however, are Spezia (17) and Feralpisalò (14).
