Turnover in Brindisi: Ferioli takes Sist’s place
Happy Casa Brindisi has announced that it has appointed Davide Ferioli as first team physical trainer.
Born in Castano Primo (MI) in 1989, he received a master’s degree in “Science, Technique and Didactics of Sport” in 2013 and a doctorate in Integrative Biomedical Research at the University of Milan in 2017. His approach to the world of basketball happens first as a basic coach and minibasket instructor and then specializes as a ‘strength and conditioning coach’. From 2014 to 2018 he worked at Robur et Fides Varese in Serie B, in 2018/19 at Reggio Emilia in Serie A and in 2020/21 at Trapani in A2.
Ferioli also had experience abroad in America as an assistant physical trainer for the University of Northern Iowa basketball and football team (NCAA Division I) and in Spain at the Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia postdoctoral program.
Ferioli takes over for Marco Sist, who leaves Brindisi after 389 official appearances.
“Happy Casa Brindisi thanks and says goodbye to physical trainer Marco Sist, the protagonist of a historic decade for Brindisi basketball from its return to Serie A to top championships in Italy and Europe. Marco Sist’s total number of appearances in official games between A2, Serie A, Italian Cup, Italian Supercup and European cups is 389. The club has accepted the personal decision of its client, wishing him the best for the new professional experience he is about to undertake outside the world of sports,” reads the note released by the White-Blue club.
