Vecino-Lazio: this is it
New adventure for Vecino
It is done for Matias Vecino’s move to Lazio on a zero-parameter basis. The Uruguayan midfielder, who was released by Inter last June 30, will sign a three-year contract worth about two million euros per season plus bonuses that will tie him to the Capitoline club until 2025.
The agreement was reached following a meeting between club executives and the player’s agent, Alessandro Lucci. A key role in the Celeste player’s decision was played by Maurizio Sarri. In fact, the two had already worked well together, in the 2014-15 season, when Matias wore the Empoli jersey.
Vecino’s aggressiveness and insertion skills fit well with Maurizo Sarri’s game. While waiting to figure out the Luis Alberto situation, the Lazio club has meanwhile placed a good strike for the midfield.
