Fabio Fognini and Simone Bolelli are already in the doubles final.

Great satisfaction for Italian tennis in Umag, Croatia, the scene of the ongoing ATP 250 tournament. In addition to the exploits of Jannik Sinner, Franco Agamenone and Giulio Zeppieri – who won the pass to the semifinals in the singles draw – there is in fact the performance of Fabio Fognini and Simone Bolelli, who have already secured the right to play the final in doubles.

The two Italians, the tournament’s number one seed, beat the pair formed by Portugal’s Francisco Cabral and Bosnia’s Tomislav Brkic 6-0 7-6. The Ligurian and Bolognese will play the last act against Britain’s Lloyd Glasspool and Finland’s Harri Heliövaara. This will be the fourth final of the season in the ATP circuit for the Italian pair: the balance of 2022 speaks of one victory (in Rio de Janeiro) and two defeats, accrued in Sydney and Bastad.

The term ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) refers to the association that groups all male professional tennis players from all corners of the world.
The ATP’s primary task is to protect the interests of the players and also to organize essential services, such as, for example, the compilation of the world ranking, called the ATP ranking, and tournament planning.
