F1, Alex Albon sends a piquant message to Oscar Piastri
Confirmed in Williams for 2023
Formula 1’s summer break began with a series of market movements with a view to 2023. After the case broke out in Alpine with the arrival of Oscar Piastri, which was denied by the driver himself, there was immediately a new announcement.
Alex Albon was in fact confirmed in the Williams team for next year, and the driver himself wanted to comment on the news by responding to the denial tweet made by Piastri: “I learned that, with my consent – so on social -, Williams issued a press release this afternoon announcing that I will drive for them next year.”
“It’s true, I signed a contract with Williams for 2023,” Albon himself added, “I will drive for Williams next year. A joking way to confirm the announcement about his future, while the seat in Alpine intended for Piastri remains in the balance for the time being.
Albon will therefore remain in Williams next season, when his teammate may no longer be Nicholas Latifi. The favorite remains for now Nyck De Vries.
