Carlos Sainz set the fastest time in the second free practice of the Italian Grand Prix.

In Monza, Charles Leclerc, ahead of everyone in the first session, had to settle for third place instead, behind world champion Max Verstappen. Fifth was Russell and seventh was Hamilton with the two Mercedes.
