Pecco Bagnaia enjoys third win in a row: ‘Won a long race’

Ducati centaur Pecco Bagnaia happily commented to Sky on his victory in Austria, his third consecutive in the World Championship: “I’m very happy, I made too many mistakes this year so it was time to use my brain. It was a very long race indeed. To be more conservative we decided to use soft on the front, but it was not the right choice for the end of the race.”

Bagnaia, 44 points behind Quartararo, now sets his sights on Misano: “I can’t wait, I’m very happy, this weekend me and the team did an incredible job. When I was looking at my lead on the board, I tried to maintain some consistency in my lap times because I was sure I had enough pace to open up the gap. In the last few laps I just tried to keep my composure because the front was closing everywhere.”
