F1, Max Verstappen’s clear message to Lewis Hamilton fans
A very clear message to fans of the great rival.
Max Verstappen returns to frame his relationship with Lewis Hamilton, which has become more complex during the heated rivalry for the 2021 title. So much so that it has divided their respective fans into two very heated clans against each other.
“The fans are like that, because when you face their idol the issue changes and it becomes something that goes personal,” Verstappen admitted to the microphones of ‘Channel 4.’ “And a Hamilton fan doesn’t need to adapt to him and doesn’t care a lot about who comes 18th at the finish line. Then certainly the situation changes if you become his direct rival.”
And Verstappen has spoken clearly, stating that the dynamics of the fans, who are by their nature inclined to challenge their favorite’s rival more fiercely, will not change him. “I have no intention of adapting to what a fan can’t stand. That’s who I am, that’s who I am, and I’m not going to change. Because that would be a false version of myself. Then if someone doesn’t like me, that’s okay,” the Red Bull Dutchman cut short.
