Roma, heavy tile: bad injury for Georginio Wijnaldum
A tremendous tile on one of the Giallorossi’s market hits.
Georginio Wijnaldum will stop, due to a far from trivial injury suffered in training with his Roma team, on the eve of the match against Cremonese scheduled for Monday. The confirmation comes from the statement that the Giallorossi club itself published on its official website on Sunday evening.
“Following an injury sustained during today’s training session,” it reads, “Georginio Wijnaldum underwent clinical examinations in the evening, which revealed a fracture of the right tibia. The player will undergo further checks in the coming days. FORZA GINI!”
Wijnaldum, a Dutch national born in 1990, arrived at Roma on August 5 on loan from PSG. He had also previously played for Feyenoord, PSV Eindhoven, Newcastle, and especially Liverpool, with whom he won the 2019 Champions League and 2020 Premier. With Roma, he made his debut by subbing in during the game against Salernitana.
