Former British tennis player Tim Henman in an interview with tennis365 listed his favorites for the Us Open, kicking off in a few days at Flushing Meadows. Without Novak Djokovic, out for the no vaccine, Henman puts Medvedev ahead of everyone: “In terms of favorites, I would say ahead of everyone is Daniil Medvedev. He’s the defending champion and it’s his surface.”

But for Henman, the contention is definitely open: “There are so many who can have their say, Nadal could win the third Slam this year. You can never rule it out, despite the physical problems. Especially with Djokovic out.”
