Valentino Rossi’s moped sold at auction: the figure is incredible

At the Minardi day, organized at the Autodromo Enzo and Dino Ferrari in Imola, the moped used (and autographed) by Valentino Rossi between 2008 and 2009 was auctioned off. The vehicle, also used by other members of the team during those years, was sold for the incredible sum of €17,000.

The sum will be donated to the Institute ‘Medea our family,’ to support a research project on the autism spectrum of early life. The scooter, a Yamaha Giggle 50, is strictly stock: it mounts a 4-stroke, 3-valve, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine for a power output of 3 hp and a maximum torque of 3 Nm at 5,500 rpm.
