Marta Bassino and Sofia Goggia: good news from Argentina

Sofia Goggia and Marta Bassino are hard at work ahead of the start of the season: “Super training here”

The pre-season gathering of the Italian women’s Elite World Cup team continues on the Argentine snows of Ushuaia. Marta Bassino, Federica Brignone and Sofia Goggia are smoothly turning around the program set up by the technical staff, taking advantage of the favorable weather conditions.

“Training is going very well – are the words of Marta Bassino, reported by Fisi -, we found super conditions that allowed us to carry out beautiful days of work. So far we have skied twelve days, divided into blocks of six, with a rest day in between.”

“At the beginning we used giant skis, then we switched to short slalom skis and after the stop day we started again with the giant, now we are focusing on the supergiant. Here in Argentina we are able to give continuity to the preparation, we put an extra brick day by day.”

“We are more or less halfway through the trip, we still have some time left to increase our laps. So far it’s been a smooth summer, I’ve had the best dry preparation I could hope for, we’re focused on the goals that await us in the coming season, starting with the World Cup, not forgetting the World Championships in Meribel, which will be the central pivot.”
