The Argentine was among the last to surrender in the face of the Parisian outfielders

Sometimes a defeat can be accepted better than a draw. This is the case of Juve, which, coming off a drab draw on the field of Fiorentina – with the Viola under pressure the entire second half and only one shot on goal in 90 minutes for Allegri’s eleven – put on a show of character, especially in the second half, against PSG in the Champions League. Although losing, paying dearly for the shock start with two goals conceded in the first 22′ of the game, the Bianconeri showed character and purposefulness in the second 45′, not going too far from the resounding comeback.

In the post-match analysis, the performance of Leandro Paredes, who appeared to be a fine copy of the player seen in Florence, stands out above all. Always in the thick of the game, with an excellent personality and leadership conveyed to his teammates, the Argentine garnered unanimous acclaim among the HCL fans. Particularly impressive was the number of balls played – as many as 102 – which made the former Roma player the true beacon of the Bianconeri maneuver. An encouraging figure for Max Allegri, who will need the best Paredes in the coming months as well, given the continued absence of the long-suffering Pogba.
