Marc Hirschi, winner of the Giro della Toscana-Memorial Alfredo Martini, showed all his satisfaction after crossing the finish line.
“It was a very difficult and fast sprint, I set it right after the last corner and entered the finishing straight well launched in the last 150 meters and managed to win. This victory was needed and I dedicate it mostly to myself. I am very happy. Surely on the climb Martinez was the strongest, but I knew that after the Gpm there were still thirty-one kilometers to go and I preferred to stay calm and play it with the others then in the sprint,” recounted the 24-year-old Swiss rider of UAE Team Emirates.
