F1, Williams: separation from Nicholas Latifi imminent

The Canadian driver will run with Williams until the end of the season

Williams, through its profiles, on the morning of Friday, September 23, announced the separation at the end of the year from Canadian driver Nicholas Latifi.

“Williams Racing and Nicholas Latifi will part ways at the end of the 2022 season. We would like to thank Nicky for his commitment and hard work over the past 3 years and wish him all the best for the next stages of his career,” reads the Grove-based company’s note.

The driver himself, who has been racing with the British team since 2020 and currently has zero points in the championship standings, wanted to express his feelings about this impending farewell through his social media: “So, I am parting ways with Williams Racing at the end of the year. Honored to have represented them for the past three years. A huge thank you to the whole team: it has been an incredible journey and I have enjoyed every second. Determined to end 2022 on a positive note. Six races left.”
