Ducati, Alvaro Bautista no longer stops: bad moods are behind him
Hat trick for Bautista, Ducati also rejoices in Superbike
If in MotoGp Ducati saw its Sunday characterized by Jack Miller’s victory in Motegi ‘dirtied’ by Pecco Bagnaia’s fall, the Borgo Panigale Red can rejoice all round in Superbike, thanks to a dominant Alvaro Bautista who, after his success in race-1 in the Catalonia Round, also won Superpole race and race-2 on Sunday, increasing his lead in the Sbk championship standings.
A perfect weekend then for the 37-year-old from Talavera de la Reina, who in the final race of the Montmeló weekend put himself behind an excellent Michael Ruben Rinaldi (also riding a Ducati) and Toprak Razgatlioglu (Yamaha). Forget once and for all, then, the controversy related to the Magny-Cours crash two weeks ago, which had also involved Jonathan Rea (just off the podium in race-2).
In the standings, therefore, Bautista continues to lengthen the pace with four rounds to go: there are 394 points in the standings for the Spaniard, 59 more than Razgatlioglu and 67 more than Rea.
