High tension at Ducati: Tardozzi’s move
Ducati factory team manager complained about the duel between Bastianini and Bagnaia
Tensions continue to mount at Ducati over the issue of ‘team play’ that the various Borgo Panigale teams should make for Pecco Bagnaia, who is in the running for the title.
During the Japanese Grand Prix, the Piedmontese centaur, who started at the back after Saturday’s difficult qualifying session, ended up in the crosshairs of Enea Bastianini, and the two engaged in another duel that saw the former prevail after an overtake and a counter-overtake.
Bastianini’s maneuvers did not please Ducati team manager Davide Tardozzi, who was annoyed at the end of the race and went to the Gresini box to discuss what had happened. Possible measures since the next Grand Prix. Bagnaia then fell alone in the final, losing valuable points from Quartararo in the World Championship key.
