F1, Mercedes: Lewis Hamilton frustrated after free practice
“I hope we can get fourth or fifth position,” said Lewis Hamilton.
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton spoke after the second free practice session, which went not according to expectations, after the Briton set the fastest time in the first session.
Evidently dissatisfied, the seven-time world champion expressed his feelings, in the words reported by the official Formula 1 website, “I hope we can get fourth or fifth position, or something like that. To get higher than that would be great.”
“The weekend started well, I went strong in Free 1, but then in the second session things didn’t go as well. I would say it went the same as all the other weekends,” Hamilton added.
Hamilton then concluded, “The car here has a lot of bouncing, which is crazy, but maybe we are not far from the leaders. We’re probably still a second slower, something like that. We have to keep working.”
