Historic pole for Marco Bezzecchi

A historic result for Marco Bezzecchi, who achieved his first career pole position in MotoGp in the Thai Grand Prix. Bezzecchi also set another record: he is the tenth different rider to achieve pole position this season, a fact that has never occurred so far in MotoGp.

The Mooney VR46 Racing Team rider didn’t even realize he was the fastest on the track, as stated at the end of qualifying: “I honestly didn’t realize I was first because I tried to look at the screens, but with the sun I couldn’t see anything. With 1’29″6 I told myself that this was a good lap, but I was coming back to the pits regularly. But then I saw the guys and came here. I’m happy, Matteo did well but so did all the guys-Sergio was scary with the electronics, so were all the other guys from home, including Valentino Rossi.”
