Tragic accident in Misano: Federico Esposto dies at age 27
Terrible tragedy at the Misano Adriatico circuit
Tremendous news has shaken the world of motorcycling: Federico Esposto, a 27-year-old Roman centaur, died of the consequences of a serious accident at Misano Adriatico, on the second lap of the Class 600 Pro race, Italian Amateur Trophy of the CIV. Serious is another rider, 31-year-old Marco Sciutteri.
The latter, according to a note released late in the afternoon by the organizers of the Italian Speed Championship, was rushed by helicopter to the hospital in Cesena, “in serious condition.”
“After the accident,” the statement further reads, “the event, in which more than 360 riders engaged in various national challenges were participating, was closed early as a sign of respect. The FMI, the Misano World Circuit and the organizer of the Trofeo Italiano Amatori are close to the families of the riders involved.”
