Ducati rider Jorge Martin contradicts Zarco: “Did he limit himself behind Bagnaia? I would have fought for the podium.”

Ducati’s team play to help Pecco Bagnaia is causing controversy: on Sunday Johann Zarco admitted that he limited himself behind Pecco Bagnaia, who then finished third in the Thailand GP and returned to -2 in the overall MotoGp standings. It was a decision that did not find agreement with the other rider of the Pramac Ducati team, Jorge Martin, who instead assured that if he had been in the Frenchman’s shoes he would have fought until the end with Pecco.

“It was better for Ducati that Bagnaia finished third, but we are in a world championship and I would have fought for the podium. It’s true that if you fight with him for a sixth or eighth place there is no such need to overtake, but a podium deserves it, and even more so if overtaking allows you to keep the pace to win the race,” are the clear words taken from Motosan.
