Chelsea-Milan, Stefano Pioli reveals who will be the captain
Pioli reveals who will be captain at Stamford Bridge
AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli spoke at the press conference on the eve of the Stamford Bridge match, valid for the third day of the Champions League group stage, which will see the Italian champions opposing Graham Potter’s Chelsea.
“Injuries? They can happen, the tight schedule does not help: I am accompanied by capable professionals who will help us find solutions. There are different types of leaders, Bennacer is a technical leader and he is a leader because of the example he has: he trains and participates 100 percent every day. He is definitely a leader of this team, tomorrow he will be captain,” the Rossoneri coach revealed.
“Youngsters? I think the club has made very specific choices, to build a team with a lot of young people and mix it with more mature, experienced, and deep players. I think it is the best mixture. With young people you need patience and time to grow. Having teammates like Giroud, Kjaer, Zlatan is a great support: we are talking about young people who are already ready for these important challenges,” concluded Stefano Pioli.
